LOR-200 high resolution OTDR

The LOR-200 is a fully portable OTDR, with the look and feel of a standard portable OTDR. The LOR-200 is a stand-alone solution integrated in a PC platform with a touchscreen interface. Using Luciol’s scanning photon-counting technology, the LOR-200 achieves an unprecedented dynamic range at measurement distances of up to 160 km.

Optimized solution

The LOR-200 is optimized for telecom applications in the wavelength range of 1,000 nm to 1,650 nm. The optical pulse width is variable from 2 ns to 1,000 ns. For FTTx/FTTH/PON applications, a special model capable of in-service testing is available.

For field technicians and labs, use the LOR-200 when high fault location accuracy, minimal dead zones and dynamic measurements are required.

Find and localize faults on the PON

If no centralized Maestro test system is available in the field, the LOR-200 can be used to find and localize faults on the PON. Fault localization accuracy with the LOR-200 is below 30 cm. Thus, you will be able to find out accurately where you have to fix a fault and you will be able to speed up service processes significantly. You will also be able to detect faults close to splitters or after big reflections. Such faults will usually not be detected with an analog OTDR.
