VIT DSL Handheld Testers
VIT-A2: ADSL tester for ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+
The VIT-A2 DSL tester performs fast, cost-effective error analysis of ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ connections. Service technicians can use the VIT-A2 to detect faulty cabling and lines as well as incorrect supply voltages at a glance with the LED display (PASS / FAIL). They can check the complete synchronization in ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+, isolate defects in splitters and modems and find incompatible modems and improperly configured DSLAM ports.
Using the VIT-A2’s FastEthernet interface, it is possible to read out connection parameters such as the line attenuation, noise margin, data rates in the upstream and downstream directions, number of synchronization attempts and bit allocation (graphical presentation format). The supplied VIT-A2 Watch software can be used to save test reports with all relevant measurement data.
VIT-V2 VDSL2 tester: A VDSL2 tester optimized for Deutsche Telekom’s network
The VIT-V2 VDSL2 tester is designed for fast and dependable detection of errors and configuration problems on VDSL2 connections. A laptop can be connected to read out connection parameters. Using additional spectrum analysis software, the problems underlying faulty VDSL2 lines can be studied in detail.
ADP 100: Active Differential Probes (ADP)
The ADP100 is a 100 MHz active differential probe that allows you to connect spectrum analyzers such as the Agilent N9340 or the VIT-V2 VDSL2 tester toxDSL lines without impacting the line itself. The ADP100 is optimized for xDSL lines and provides data in both balanced and unbalanced modes.
PMP: Protected measurement points for potential-free connection
VIERLING’s protected measurement points (PMP) can be used to decouple test points on 2 Mbit/s links. In communications engineering, it is commonly necessary to make measurements on transmission links that are in operation. PMPs from VIERLING ensure that the test equipment that is connected does not negatively impact the line.
